Küreselleşen Dünyada Salgın ve Salgın Sonrası Dünyada Küreselleşme

Koronavirüs (COVID-19) salgını hakkında yürütülen tartışmalarda sıklıkla gündeme gelen bir husus, salgının küreselleşme olarak adlandırdığımız sürece etkisidir. Salgının küreselleşmeye etkisinin değerlendirilebilmesi için bu bölümde öncelikle küreselleşmenin kavram ve tarihsel bir süreç olarak serüveni ele alınmıştır. Sonrasında ise salgın sürecinde küreselleşmenin rolü irdelenmiş ve salgının küreselleşmeye muhtemel etkileri tartışılmıştır. Artan karşılıklı bağımlılık ve bağlantılılık olarak tanımlanabilecek olan küreselleşme süreci beraberinde küresel bir risk rejimini de ortaya çıkarmıştır. COVID-19 salgını dünyada sınırlar arası mal, sermaye ve insan akışlarının en yoğun olduğu bölgelere çok daha hızlı ve çok daha büyük bir şekilde etki etmiştir. Bu bağlamda, dışarıya bağımlılık ve dışarı ile bağlantılılık arttıkça salgının ülkeler üzerindeki etkisi de artmıştır. Bu durumun kısa vadede içe kapanma gibi refleksleri ortaya çıkacağı ama orta ve uzun vadede çözüm arayışlarının yine küresel ölçekte olacağı vurgulanmıştır.
