Poems on Mehmet Akif Ersoy

In this research, around 100 poems written for the poet of Turkish national anthem and published before the year 2000 were identified. These poems were written by several Turkish poets including the most popular ones such as Neyzen Tevfik, Mithat Cemal Kuntay, Nazım Hikmet, Arif Nihat Asya, Lütfü Şehsuvaroğlu, as well as amateur Turkish poets. If the works of the last 20 years are included, it would be enough to turn this research into a gigantic book. These poems we clearly state in the bibliography section are the best gifts we can offer to the spirit of this glorious poet. Some of these poems were written to mark the day of Mehmet Akif’s death, some others were written to foster his poems, and yet some others were written with the sole purpose of sharing the poet’s feelings and emotions. In the scope of this research, four different poets who wrote poems on Mehmet Akif are analyzed in depth. As understood from this research, the poet of Safahat and the Turkish national anthem, Mehmet Akif, influenced many poets of the 21st century, and he keeps on living in their poems. Other than the influential Mehmet Akif, very few poets get this chance. This research ends with a bibliography of poems written on him. It is our utmost hope that other poems that are not included in the scope of this research are one day collected inside a book. We wish that Mehmet Akif rests in peace and we send him good graces.

Mehmet Akif Ersoy ile İlgili Şiirler

Bu çalışmamızda, İstiklal Marşı şairi için çeşitli şairlerimiz tarafından yazılmış ve çoğunluğu 2000’den önce yayımlanmış 100’e yakın şiirin künyesi tespit edilmiştir. Bu şairler arasında Neyzen Tevfik, Mithat Cemal Kuntay, Nazım Hikmet, Arif Nihat Asya, Lütfü Şehsuvaroğlu gibi çok ünlü, kamuoyunun yakından tanıdığı kimseler de bulunmaktadır, fazla tanınmamış amatörler de. Son 20 yılda yazılan şiirleri de hesaba katarsak kocaman bir kitap oluşturacak sayıda metinle karşılaşırız. Kaynakçada açık künyelerini gösterdiğimiz bu şiirlerin bir kitapta toplanması, aziz şairimizin ruhuna hediye edeceğimiz en güzel armağan olacaktır. Bu şiirlerin kimi Akif’in vefatına tarih düşürmek, kimi O’nun şiirlerini tahmis etmek (beşlemek), kimisi de şairle ortak duyguları paylaşmak amacıyla kaleme alınmıştır. Bu çalışmada Mehmet Akif Ersoy’a şiir yazmış dört farklı şairden örnekler seçeceğiz. Çalışmamızdan da anlaşıldığı gibi, İstiklal Marşı ve Safahat şairi Mehmet Akif Ersoy, son yüzyılda yetişen şairlerin birçoğunu etkilemiş ve onların yazdığı şiirlerde yaşatılmıştır. Bu ancak büyük insanlara nasip olacak bir durumdur. Bildirimizi, şair hakkında yazılmış şiirlerin kaynakçası ile tamamlıyoruz. Ulaşamadığımız kaynaklardaki şiirlerin de eklenmesi suretiyle tüm şiirlerin bir kitapta toplanması en büyük dileklerimizdendir. Büyük şairimize rahmet ve minnet dualarıyla sözlerimizi bitiriyoruz.
