A Preliminary Study of The Concept of Corporate Sustainability and It’s Measurement

This study aims to examine corporate sustainability concept in terms of corporate governance and to conduct a preliminary study which intends to measure corporate sustainability. In line with this objective, firstly corporate governance and sustainabilty concepts are reviwed, they have linked conceptually and research papers about the concepts are examined. Due to the emphasising of the studies about enhancing the indicators of corporate sustainability, sustainability report are examined. Sustainability reports of the firms which are in 2014-2015 BIST Sustainability Index are examined and corporate sustainability indicators are defined with the help of content anlysis of reports.

Kurumsal Sürdürülebilirlik Kavramı ve Ölçümüne İlişkin Bir Ön Çalışma

Bu çalışma ile kurumsal sürdürülebilirlik kavramını kurumsal yönetim kapsamında incelemek ve kurumsal sürdürülebilirlik kavramını ölçmeye yönelik bir ön çalışma gerçekleştirmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda ilk olarak kurumsal yönetim ve sürdürülebilirlik değişkenleri incelenmiş, kavramsal ilişkiler kurulmuş ve konuya ilişkin gerçekleştirilen çalışmalar detaylı olarak incelenmiştir. İncelenen çalışmalarda artırılmasının gereği sıkça vurgulanan kurumsal sürdürülebilirlik değişkeninin alt unsurlarına yenilerini eklemek amacıyla 2014-2015 dönemi BİST Sürdürülebilirlik Endeksi işletmelerinin döneme ilişkin sürdürülebilirlik raporları incelenmiş, içerik analizi ile kurumsal sürdürülebilirlik kavramının alt unsurları ortaya konulmuştur.
