With the accelerated consumption and increased demand these days, manufacturers are expected to have quick reliable logistics services. Making deliveries where and when they are needed has been a distinctive feature for companies. The purpose of this study is to analyze how much manufacturers’ speed and reliability in logistics is explained by internal integration and customer integration and whether or not customer integration mediates the relationship internal integration has with speed and reliability in logistics. As emphasized in this study, increasing speed and reliability in logistics is possible through integration. Integration is an accepted strategy businesses implement and involves applying key business processes from the raw material supplier to the end user in an integrated and harmonious manner throughout the supply chain (Gimenez &amp; Ventura, 2005, p. 22). Integration starts with customers and extends throughout the entire supply chain, from the distribution of finished products to the production and sourcing of raw materials, as well as service suppliers. Therefore, integration is necessary both between departments and with customers (Stank et al., 2001, p. 29). Internal integration refers to the information sharing, harmony, and cooperation that takes place within the internal processes between departments. Through internal integration, functional units share information such as sales forecasts, production plans, and inventory with each other using digital systems (Narasimhan &amp; Kim, 2001). Because of the very rapid changes in environmental conditions, the unpredictability of demand, and customers’ high expectations for delivery, speed in logistics has become ever more important. Meanwhile, the expectation of having deliveries be made on time as promised makes reliability important. The reason why both concepts represent one dimension is that reliability is actually considered in terms of the reliability of fulfilling the promises that are made about delivery times. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect internal integration has on speed and reliability in logistics, as well as the mediating role of customer integration. The following hypotheses have also been developed:H1. Internal integration positively impact speed and reliability in logistics.H2. Internal integration positively impacts customer integration.H3. Customer integration positively impacts speed and reliability in logistics.H4. Customer integration has a mediating role in the effect internal integration has on speed and reliability in logistics.The research has been applied to medium and large companies operating in Gaziantep, with the sample of the research consisting of 161 industrial companies. The study has applied confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and reliability analyses to test the validity and reliability of the scales. The EFA results reveal the KMO values to be greater than 0.70 and the factor loads to exceed 0.50 for all scales. The reliability analysis reveals the alpha of reliability value for all scales to be greater than 0.70. Thus, the CFA has proven the scales to meet the goodness-of-fit criteria. The results from the structural equation model (SEM) show internal integration to positively affect customer integration but to not affect speed and reliability inlogistics, as well as customer integration to affect speed and reliability in logistics. The process macro method was used to test the mediating role of customer integration in internal integration’s impact on speed and reliability in logistics. According to the findings obtained from the analysis, internal integration affects customer integration positively and significantly (B = .5341, 95% CI [.3813, .6866], t = 6.9149, p &lt; .001). Customer integration has been determined to significantly affect speed and reliability in logistics (B = .1602, 95% CI [.0165, .3039], t = 2.2025, p &lt; .001). While SEM was unable to prove internal integration to havean impact on speed and reliability in logistics, the process macro method did support this (B = .2053, 95% CI [.0457, .3649], t = 2.5404, p &lt; .001). Thus, customer integration can be said to mediate the impact internal integration has on speed and reliability in logistics (B = .0856, 95% CI [.0023, .1845], p &lt; .001). The study results thus support hypotheses H1, H2, H3, and H4.

It is known that hardware and software technologies are developing very rapidly, and artificial intelligence systems are also increasing rapidly in the transportation sector with telecommunications. In the new era of Industry 4.0, network technologies are also developing rapidly, creating a new network society. All these developments are also affecting tracking and planning systems. Recent developments in urban informatics, from e-government to m-government applications, show an increase in the effects of public participation on governance topics. The mobilizing strategy has been improved over the past ten years to accommodate new kinds of intelligent strategies in smart societies. In the last decade, examining problematic systems in the urban space has been a main point. In particular, the transportation sector was chosen as the focus of a lot of studies. Future applications that are structured and long-lasting are encouraged by the suggested methods. Therefore, smart city approaches should always consider interdisciplinary qualities. Traffic and road monitoring and planning, as well as cargo and vehicle density in urban areas,create a complicated road transportation issue. Trip computers provide information about vehicles and travel. It is easier to make an instant travel flow plan and update the situation, as this information can interact with other systematic information such as traffic/road conditions. However, the depth of interaction between transportation systems is still unclear and generally consists of a one-directional, limited flow of information. Information gathering and human factor evaluation are the main goals of this encounter. However, there is still uncertainty regarding the rate of interaction and depth of data sharing amongst transportation systems, and there is only a small amount of one-way information flow. This interaction is more focused on obtaining information and (discontinuous) discrete time evaluating it with the human factor. But it is known that vehicles will start to be self-directed (autonomous) in the future, for example unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).The technologies that prioritize traffic/road, cargo/vehicle, or ITS interaction, are the focus of the study in the context of smart city logistics. From a relational and all-encompassing perspective, it also evaluates developments in other smart solutions for traffic/road, cargo/vehicle, tracking and/or planning. The independent steps of related information systems can be covered by their structure in terms of complexity and differentiation. The road, cargo, vehicle, and traffic tracking/planning systems, as well as afuturistic advanced theoretical ITS model that has been proposed, need to be more integrated into society. Because the number of vehicles and people on the road is growing.Human-machine interaction and decision iterations are thought to play a complementary role in inter-system relations. However, in increasingly complex processes, there will also be processes that are left entirely to robot flows. Planning and tracking are becoming increasingly more complex processes. Therefore, it is also necessary to minimize and integrate new concepts into the entire system (ITS) (for example, new protocols in telecommunication). This study also throws light on crucial issues that demand system fusions and advancements with new trends. From Industry 4.0 through 5.0, IoT (Internet of Items) will also support several things in this way. These new technologies are coming in a near future. 5.0 industry can be solved for all these issues, but it will require an increase in new technology’s capacity. The objective of this study is to help a reader to make the distinction and concepts clear.Especially disaster and humanitarian aid logistics may have difficulties, but these problems can be overcome over time, thanks to the application of early warning systems technologies and advanced problem solutions by relevant technologies and institutions at the micro level. The ITS framework proposed in this study supports all these new generation tracking and planning systems. With Industry 5.0, network latency will also be resolved thanks to the new technologies.The internet of things that came with the industry 4.0 revolution brings important innovations in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). However, Industry 5.0 will add flexibility and functionality to communication beyond Industry 4.0. Faster communication and system integrations using standard protocols will be provided by Industry 5.0. These advancements are pushing smart systems closer to the forefront by integrating them with humans. These innovations and rapid developments in the field of transportation (wireless communication, satellite communication, sensors, and software) are referred to as Intelligent Transportation. Developments will enable logistics and transportation services to be provided more efficiently and reliably. Since the internet of things architecture allows all physical objects in our lives to stay in communication via the internet, new studies have started to emerge in the field of ITS.This study will first reveal the basics of Internet of Things architecture. Studies on the general ITS approaches will be reviewed. By explaining the development of the topic and its significance, this article evaluates the fundamental truths about the ITS and produces recommendations. Turkey determined its national strategy for smart transportation systems (STS) (or IUS in Turkish) in 2014. The document, it is aimed to achieve the vision of "a Turkey integrated within itself and with the world, where all transportation services are managed and directed with information and communication technologies". In order to realize the vision, five strategic goals have been set for the period up until 2023, and 22 targets have been established to achieve these goals (Ulaştırma, Denizcilik ve Haberleşme Bakanlığı, Ulusal Akıllı Ulaşım Sistemleri Strateji Belgesi, 2014-2023 ve Eki Eylem Planı, 2014-2016). It covers many details about the paths to be followed with the proposed ITS framework approach in this study. The system densities and complexity levels, as well as all of the components that are connected to it, will increase excessively as the amount of data processed per unit of time increases. In today’s times of crisis, we are witnessing the breaking of supply chains.Therefore, individual logistics operations are replaced by intelligent logistics approaches, which are rapidly made safer. Advanced artificial intelligence is making itself felt more and more in all areas. Railway and maritime transport, low-emission vehicles, and alternative green fuels stand out. It is clearly understood that similar approaches should gain importance in the highways and urban logistics area as well. Everything is once again impacted by this transformation, particularly the logistics industry. I’m hoping that the issue will be under control and that any potential harm will be avoided.

Enhancing Network Performance in Mitigating the Impact of Traffic Accidents with Full User Information

This paper aims to predict the traffic accident duration based on traffic accident data in Istanbul with Ensemble Tree and Neural Networks methods and to compare the performance of these methods. The secondary aim of the paper is to identify the main factors affecting the accident duration. Traffic accident duration is defined as the time difference between the occurrence and the return of the accident scene’s initial state. When a traffic incident or accident occurs, the uncertainty of the duration causes concern for drivers, passengers, and traffic operators. Therefore, the duration between the occurrence of a traffic accident and its clearance is a topic worthy of research.Firstly, a literature review was conducted in this paper. The literature review focuses on recent and up-to-date academic studies published from 2010 until the end of 2022. This literature review has gathered research papers from well-established databases that offer valuable information to researchers and practitioners on analyzing and predicting the duration of traffic accidents. The objective of this literature review is to uncover the dynamics of traffic incidents and the important factors affecting accident duration in various categories to improve traffic management. Thus, some guidance or recommendations for traffic accident management can be provided and countermeasures can be generated.The accident data sets obtained from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) and the General Directorate of Security (EGM) are used in this paper. One of the datasets used for the modelling in this paper is the dataset titled "Transportation Management Center Traffic Announcement Data" for the city of Istanbul published by the IBB Department of Transportation through the IBB Open Data Portal and is open access (İBB UDB, 2023). The IBB traffic announcement dataset covers the years 2013-2021. The dataset contains 159.411 traffic incident records and 13 different variables. The other dataset was obtained from the traffic accidents database provided by the statistics unit of the EGM Traffic Directorate. The EGM traffic accidents dataset covers the years 2013-2021 and all cities in Türkiye. The EGM data set was obtained in the form of two Excel documents "accident information" and "accident vehicle information". The "accident information" data set contains 1.338.387 traffic accident records and 53 different variables, while the "accident vehicle information" data set contains 2.206.474 traffic accident records and 11 different variables. The final dataset includes 1.905 traffic accident records in Istanbul from 2013 to 2021. The data were analyzed within the scope of data mining.&nbsp;Researchers have frequently used machine learning models to predict the duration of traffic accidents, especially in the last decade. Machine learning is a sub-branch of artificial intelligence and has been widely used as a powerful tool to overcome challenges in different domains. Statistical tests and machine learning algorithms Ensemble Tree and Neural Networks methods were applied to the extracted data set and prediction of traffic accident duration was performed.R², MSE, RMSE, and MAE metrics were used for the performance measures of the algorithms applied in this paper. In addition, the final data set used in this paper is divided into 80% training and 20% testing set. Moreover, for performance optimization of regression-based machine learning algorithms, different analyses including the K-Fold Cross Validation Method, Principal Component Analysis, Feature Selection and Optimizer were applied. As a result, it was found that the Ensemble Tree algorithm achieved an R-Square of 0.85 in training, while the Neural Networks algorithm performed better with 0.91 in testing.

Investors operate in a financial environment with complex relationships between markets and assets. Moreover, uncertainties including economic, political, social, technological, and geopolitical factors, have significant effects on financial markets. This study provides information on investment strategies and policies related to the transportation sector by examining the impact of uncertainties on financial markets specific to the transportation sector. Therefore, we analyze the symmetric and causality relationship between the global economic policy uncertainty index (GEPU) and geopolitical risk index (GPR) as uncertainty indicators and the BIST transportation index (XULAS) and the companies in the index using monthly data of the variables from May 2013 to September 2023. First, the Hacker and Hatemi-J (2006) Bootstrap causality test was used to find the symmetric causality relationship between the variables. Then, the Hatemi-J (2012) asymmetric causality test was used to analyze the impact of positive and negative shocks on transportation sector.The findings of Hacker and Hatemi-J (2006) Bootstrap causality test show a reciprocal causality relationship between the geopolitical risk index and the BIST transportation index and between the GEPU index and the BIST transportation index. While a unidirectional causality relationship exists between the geopolitical risk index and the CLEBI stock, a reciprocal causality relationship exists between the geopolitical risk index and GSDDE and PGSUS. Moreover, there is evidence of reciprocal causality between the GEPU index and PGSUS stocks. A unidirectional causality relationship was found between CLEBI and RYSAS and the GEPU index. The Hatemi-J asymmetric causality test was conducted to examine the effect of positive and negative shocks on the causality relationship between variables. Positive shocks in the geopolitical risk index were found to result in negative shocks in the BIST transportation index, whereas negative shocks in the BIST transportation index led to negative and positive shocks in the geopolitical risk index. A significant finding is that increases in the geopolitical risk index adversely affects companies in the transportation index. We conclude that negative shocks in the geopolitical risk index result in negative and positive shocks in CLEBI, positive shocks in GSDDE, and negative shocks in BEYAZ and PGSUS. Negative shocks in the GEPU index, another uncertainty index used in the study, led to negative shocks in the BIST transportation index and the transportation companies in the index. A causality relationship was found between positive shocks in the GEPU index and positive shocks in CLEBI, GSDDE, and THYAO stocks. A causality relationship exists between negative shocks of the GEPU index and those of CLEBI, GSDDE, and THYAO and between the negative and positive shocks of the BIST transportation index. We conclude that a causality relationship exists between the positive shocks of the BIST transportation index and all stocks and between the positive shocks of the GEPU index and from negative shocks to negative shocks of GEPU. In addition, causality is found between negative shocks of the BIST transportation index and BEYAZ, RYSAS, and THYAO stocks and positive shocks of the GEPU index.&nbsp;These findings show that increases in the geopolitical risk index and the GEPU index negatively impact the transportation sector. This implies that uncertainty indices can be used as leading indicators for predicting changes in the transportation sector. It is important to know the symmetric and asymmetric effects of fluctuations in uncertainty indices on financial markets for managing risks and developing new strategies to offset these effects. Considering changes in general economic factors, geopolitical risks, and uncertainties is critical for portfolio management. This study uses global uncertainty indices. Further study will examine different global, categorical, or local uncertainty indices or different sectors and contribute to the literature.&nbsp;

Nowadays, additive manufacturing, also called three-dimensional (3D) printing, is widely used in many different sectors for both prototyping and part production. 3D printer technologies, which offer more advantages compared with traditional production methods, are employed in a wide range of sectors, from health, education, construction, automotive to food. The utilization of 3D printers offers businesses numerous advantages, including cost reduction, time savings, efficient resource utilization, and the ability to produce customized products. Furthermore, the integration of 3D printers into manufacturing operations helps companies develop their local production capabilities. Therefore, 3D printing is anticipated to offer significant flexibility to the global supply chain by enabling companies to quickly adapt to changes in demand or product specifications. For example, if there is a sudden surge in demand for a particular product, manufacturers equipped with 3D printers can swiftly adjust their production schedules and begin manufacturing the required items without the need for retooling or extensive lead times. Additionally, 3D printing enhances resilience within the supply chain by reducing dependency on centralized production facilities and long-distance transportation networks. In the event of disruptions such as natural disasters or geopolitical conflicts affecting traditional manufacturing hubs, companies can utilize local 3D printing capabilities to maintain continuity in production and meet customer demands. This decentralized approach mitigates risks associated with supply chain disruptions and enhances the overall resilience of the global manufacturing ecosystem. In addition, local production with 3D printers in the supply chain helps reduce carbon footprint and decrease transportation costs of finished products, thanks to the more effective use of materials.As a result, the environmental impact of enterprises during production and distribution processes is diminished, leading to increased efficiency in resource utilization. Consequently, businesses stand to gain from improved sustainable supply chain capabilities. Recently, 3D printers have become a popular tool in the market that can be used for different purposes. The market offers a wide range of 3D printer models with varying functions and print quality across different price ranges. Therefore, selecting the appropriate 3D printer model based on intended use and budget has become a crucial decision for businesses.The selection of a 3D printer can be considered as a classical multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) problem, as it involves evaluating options against multiple criteria. This study proposes a practical decision-making tool that companies can utilize to select 3D printers suitable for their specific purposes. In addition, a comprehensive list of criteria for 3D printer evaluation is provided to guide companies through the decision-making process of 3D printer selection. An integrated MCDM method, comprising the fuzzy CRITIC (CRiteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation) and fuzzy EDAS (Evaluation based on Distance from Average Solution) methods, is suggested for the solution. Criteria weights are determined using the fuzzy CRITIC method, which calculates the importance level of each criterion both objectively and subjectively while processing a large set of criteria. The fuzzy EDAS method, which is a practical method to solve MCDM problems involving many criteria, ranks the alternative 3D printer models. This study contributes to the literature by showing, for the first time, the integrated use of the fuzzy CRITIC and fuzzy EDAS methods for solving 3D printer selection problems.&nbsp;This study tests the real-life problem solution performance of the proposed model on a production company located in Kayseri, Turkey. In the first stage, weights of 20 subcriteria gathered under the four main criteria (technical, economy, performance, and environment) are determined via the fuzzy CRITIC method. In the second stage, four different 3D printer models (Flashforge Creator 3, Zortrax M200 Plus, Ultimaker 2+ connect, and Zaxe Z1) are suggested by the company experts; these four options are then ranked using the fuzzy EDAS method. Following this, Flashforge Creator 3 is selected as the most suitable 3D printer model for the company. The feedback collected from the company experts revealed that the company has reaped many benefits in prototype production after it started to utilize the selected 3D printer model. Thanks to the utilization of 3D printers, the company has experienced several advantages, including reduced transition time from prototype to product, early-stage error detection such as during the design process, and the ability to adjust models according to customer needs, consequently improving customer satisfaction.

Bulanık CRITIC ve Bulanık EDAS Yöntemleri ile 3 Boyutlu Yazıcı Seçimi

Disasters are acknowledged as one of phenomena that disrupt supply chains (Pfeiffer, Burdi and Schlueter 2017, p. 399). During recent years, disaster-related outages have impacted several supply chain members, politicians, and businesses, from end consumers to the raw material suppliers at the start of the supply chain (Ryan et al., 2021; Xu, Elomri, Kerbache and El Omri, 2020, p. 155). Meanwhile, the issue of local supply chains comes to mind with regard to enabling sustainable production and trade while also&nbsp;trying to preserve the existence of global supply chains (Banda, Mugwagwa, Wanjala, Mackintosh and Kale, 2021; Choi et al., 2021; Dewick, Hofstetter and Schröder, 2021; Kamble et al., 2023; Kudtarkar, 2020; Nandi, Sarkis, Hervani and Helms, 2021, p. 15; Soto-Mendoza, Ruiz-y-Ruiz, García-Calvillo, Nucamendi-Guillén and Cardona-Valdés, 2023). “Local supply chains involve the supply chains where the manufacturer supplies the raw materials used in production, the semi-finished products from local suppliers, and the sellers of the final products obtained as a result of production activities to local customers” (Golĳa, 2023; Kamble et al., 2023, p. 1; Soto-Mendoza et al., 2023). Local supply chains play a pivotal role in ensuring the continuity of production activities in the region (Cagliano, Caniato, Golini, Kalchschmidt and Spina, 2008) in regard to disaster response and nations’ economic independence (Bateman, 1998) and also ensure the commitment and well-being of the people (Ashby, 2016; Ismayilov, Taghiyev, Godunova and Mirmotahari, 2008). For these reasons, the current study has chosen to address the concepts of disasters and local supply chains. The study has two main objectives: The first is to reveal local supply chains’ position in disasters, and the second is to unveil the importance of local supply chains and what needs to be done to empower them. In line with these objectives, the study has prepared and looks for answers to the following research questions:<ul><li>How do local supply chains function in disasters? </li><li> What are the strengths and weaknesses of local supply chains? </li><li> What are the opportunities and threats to local supply chains? </li><li> What should be done to strengthen local supply chains?</li></ul>The study examines the literature in order to find answers to these questions, as well as performs SWOT analysis of local supply chains before preparing and assessing TOWS matrix with regard to local supply chains. As far as is known, this is the first Turkish study to jointly address disasters and local supply chains, to conduct a SWOT analysis on local supply chains, and to form a TOWS matrix. Upon examining the literature, studies are found to have demonstrated how local supply chains were opted for as a solution to the problems that occurred in global supply chains during the pandemic (Çetin and Yücesoy, 2020; Çolakoğlu and Topsakal, 2023; Kalkan, Özkan and Karadoğan, 2021). However, no study is yet found to have comprehensively addressed local supply chains, unveiled their significance, or made evaluations or recommendations on how to empower them. The study has significance both for the literature and for the members in the local supply chains, particularly in such countries as Türkiye where disasters occur intensely and local supply chains have a dominant position.When examining how local supply chains are situated in disasters, global acquisitions are generally more appropriate in the term of disaster preparedness with regard to time (Duran, Ergun, Keskinocak and Swann, 2013, p. 458). However, cases have been stated to occur where local supply chains cannot be separated from the global supply chain while supplying the materials required in sudden disasters (Falasca and Zobel, 2011, p. 155). Once a disaster has occurred, the first stage involves assessing the region where the disaster took place in terms of such things as infrastructure and needs (Duran et al., 2013, p. 452). At this phase, the idea is that what is needed should be provided primarily from local sources, if they are operable (Beamon and Balcik, 2008, p. 10; Martirena and Olivera, 2006; Nurre, Sharkey and Mitchell, 2016; Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), 2001; Piotrowicz, 2018). Local supply chains play a significant role here with the arrival of outside help (Tongko, 2022, p. 3).SWOT analyses are one of the most frequently used methods for analyzing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats organizations face (Benzaghta, Elwalda, Mousa, Erkan and Rahman, 2021, p. 56; Wu, 2020, p. 352). This study’s SWOT analysis of local supply chains resulted in the identification of twenty-two strengths, twelve weaknesses, nine opportunities, and six threats. Using the strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities derived from the SWOT analysis, strategies can then be identified with a TOWS matrix (Weihrich, 1982, p. 61). This study used the TOWS matrix to determine eight strategies for empowering local supply chains, identifying the Strengths-Opportunities strategy of increasing local supply chains’ market share and the Strengths-Threats strategies of creating sustainable local supply chains and improving product diversity and quality. As for the Weaknesses-Opportunities strategies, the study identified the strategies of creating resilient local supply chains, employing developing technology to improve processes, using state support to improve processes, and developing human resources. The study also determined the Weaknesses-Threats strategy of reducing production costs.&nbsp;When considering the fact that no country has all or mostly all factors of production (e.g., raw materials and natural resources from agriculture to manufacturing), a complete return to local supply chains can be said to be impossible. Additionally, returning to local supply chains will not be easy for either countries or businesses. However, one needs to recall that such phenomena as the global dimension, disasters, individual orientations, and political relations will empower local supply chains (Frikkee, 2020), as well as the fact that “regionalism is smart” (Feagan, 2007, p. 23). On account of the problems at the international level, even if no local supply chains occur in the near future, a dominant supply chain order of regional supply chains is thought to be in the works for world (Kalkan et al., 2021, p. 19; Kılıçlı, 2022). Therefore, to reduce dependencies, to evaluate the opportunities offered by geography, and to assess the outcomes of disasters, expanding and advancing these possibilities, making local supply chains resistant, and protecting their assets, especially in developing and underdeveloped countries, are essential both in general as well as for being able to intervene more quickly in the disasters that may occur and to be less negatively affected by the consequences of disasters (Ishida, 2020, p. 148). As Tanpinar stated, “Geography is destiny, which means accepting the necessities of this can be reconciled well within on condition that one keeps up with it. For those who forget these conditions altogether, however, misery is destined” (Tanpinar, 2000, p. 78, as cited in Bal, 2018, p. 312).

Increasing competition with globalization requires companies to assume new roles according to the changing dynamics in internal and external environments and improve business processes. Strengthening the quality and efficiency of the necessary logistic processes of the organizations to improve the flow of added value, especially since customer satisfaction is of utmost importance at this point, can help increase satisfied customers in the long term. Strong logistics processes require eliminating idle, unnecessary processes in the value stream and ensuring easily accessible, smooth, time-efficient, safe, and least risky processes.&nbsp;The “lean thinking” oriented management style, initiated by the Toyota production system in the 1940s and used in different sectors today, comes to the fore while eliminating idle and resource-wasting processes from operational processes. Leanness represents the leanest/simplest/easiest logistics activities that can create two-way added value to customers and businesses; products are available at the desired place and time and in the requested way, and flexibility in all processes ensures and maintains customer satisfaction. Lean logistics emphasizes minimum error and continuous process improvement (Bowersox et al., 2002). Lean logistics is a performance-oriented management style suitable for minimum storage, self-management of the system, extensive use of technology, delivery, and distribution in smaller quantities than traditional logistics, and extended instead of short-term contracts (Özkan et al., 2015). Lean logistics is a working philosophy to identify and remove waste in the supply chain (Alejandro-Chable et al., 2022). Many sectors include and prefer lean logistics in their production support activities due to its ongoing positive added value. Many studies have examined lean logistics in different sectors, such as automobile enterprises (Liang &amp; Wang, 2013; Silva, 2015; Zhang, 2015), transportation enterprises (Vasiliauskas et al., 2014), hospital logistics and healthcare (Aguilar-Escobar &amp; Garrido-Vega, 2012; Serrou et al., 2016; Khlie et al., 2016; Teng et al., 2019), logistics companies (De Haan et al., 2012; Buzdik et al., 2019; Rodrigues &amp; Kumar, 2019), forest industry (Fallas-Valverde et al., 2018), manufacturing and production companies (Dolak &amp; Suchanek, 2015; Nowicka-Skowron &amp; Ulewicz, 2017), agricultural product companies (Zhang &amp; Yang, 2010; Szabo et al., 2021), miner sector (Arango Serna et al., 2009), e-businesses (Cao, 2007), urban logistics (Escuder et al., 2020), maritime and port sector (Lyonnet, 2016; Frontoni et al., 2020; Praharsi et al., 2021), and vehicle industry (Wang et al. 2006).Conversely, understanding the literature well to determine the conceptual framework of lean logistics as a research field and its sectoral applications is imperative (Raghuram et al., 2010). Furthermore, reviewing the extant literature to identify the most relevant and effective studies is essential (Wang et al., 2016). In this context, this study analyzes the lean logistics literature regarding bibliometrics. The Web of Science (WoS) database is one of the most critical data sources in bibliometric analysis. The research data of this study comprises 559 different studies, focusing on lean logistics, scanned by international citation indexes in the WoS database between 1994 and 2022. Bibliometric analysis was used to address the following research questions (RQs):&nbsp;RQ-1: Who are the most published authors in lean logistics? RQ-2: Which countries stand out with the number of publications in publication production? RQ-3: What is the distribution of relevant publications by year? RQ-4: What is the single-multiple authorship status of the publications? RQ-5: What are the most commonly used keywords in publications? RQ-6: What are the most frequently used keywords in cited publications? RQ-7: What has been the trend in study topics over the years? RQ-8: What are the main themes/topics studied in lean logistics? RQ-9: Are the lean logistics literature and researchers’ contributions to this field sufficient?&nbsp;According to the research findings, studies in the field of lean logistics were first published in the WoS database in 1994. Studies in the field increased at 8.82% annual rate, and there were 22.04 citations per study. Furthermore, 1,423 researchers and 19,359 sources were used in the field between 1994 and 2022. Additionally, 61.9% studies were articles, 26.12% papers, 4.65% reviews, and 2.5% book chapters in the field; 237 publications were made between 2015 and 2020; most studies were published in 2016, with 54 publications. After 2016, a downward trend occurred in the number of studies. Among the top 15 researchers in the field of lean logistics, Jose Arturo Garza-Reyes, Vikas Kumar, and Guileherma Luz Tortorella were the most published ones; the top three journals are “Production Planning &amp; Control,” “International Journal of Logistics-Research and Applications,” and the “Journal of Cleaner Production.” The most commonly used keywords are “lean,” “lean manufacturing,” and “value stream mapping.” In addition to lean logistics, “supply chain management,” “health,” “lean thinking,” “lean management,” “6 Sigma,” “agility,” and “sustainability” were frequently preferred keywords. Furthermore, most publications in the field belonged to Garza-Reyes JA and Kumar V, with 10 studies, and the most cited source locally was Womack J.P et al.’s (1990) “The Machine That Changed the World: The Story of Lean Production” (n = 80). The most cited source globally was Kleindorfer and Saad’s (2005) “Managing disruption risks in supply chains” (n = 956).Furthermore, publications in the field were analyzed regarding country collaborations. According to the results, China, the United Kingdom (UK), and the United States were the leading countries in author collaboration. More than 60 studies in China and the UK found author collaboration, but most collaborations in China were intracountry, while the UK had more cross-country collaboration. In contrast, Turkey is among the top 20 countries regarding author collaboration; however, author collaboration in all Turkish studies was limited to the country. In other words, Turkish researchers did not establish international collaboration in the field. After examining the scientific production of the country, when the affiliated institutions of the published researchers were examined, the top three institutions were Cardiff Business School, Cranfield University, and Cardiff University from the UK. Furthermore, the most frequently used keywords included “thematic map,” “conceptual structure map,” and “common network analysis,” showing that author collaboration was also included in detail; thus, Lotka’s law indicates that the literature on the central theme of lean logistics is insufficient and must be developed.

One of the most important stages of aid activities carried out by humanitarian aid organizations is logistics activities. These activities often play a key role. Logistics, which is defined as procurement at the right time, in the right place, and in the right amount, becomes important in humanitarian aid. These activities are generally carried out in various humanitarian areas such as food, health services, clothing, education, and psychological support.Therefore, their logistics performance is of great importance when humanitarian organizations deliver aid to a region where humanitarian crises occur. Recently, with the impact of humanitarian crises, the question of how to measure the response times and logistics competencies and performance of humanitarian organizations operating in this field has come to the fore.Aim: The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the logistics performance of NGOs working in the field of humanitarian aid. Other objectives are to examine the impact of productivity and efficiency performance of organizations on logistics performance and to determine the effects of these variables. In order to reach the aim of the study, it was supported with a field study. The research model was created with the data obtained from the field study and the model was tested with the collected data. This study aims to contribute to the literature by determining the factors that affect the logistics performance of organizations and drawing conclusions containing useful information for organizations.Method: Due to the scope of work of domestic and foreign origin, non-governmental organizations operating in Turkey have been the target of the research group. A field study was conducted on these organizations, the data and information were analyzed in the SPSS statistical analysis program, and the hypotheses of the research were tested. The hypotheses established to achieve the purpose of the study are as follows: “H1:The productivity performance of the organization positively affects its logistics performance,” and “H2:The organization’s efficiency performance positively affects its logistics performance.” These hypotheses were tested.Findings: According to the results, productivity performance has a significant and positive effect on logistics performance and efficiency performance has a significant but negative effect on logistics performance. As a result of the analysis, the first hypothesis of the study (“H1: The productivity performance of the organization affects the logistics performance positively.”) was accepted.According to the established regression model, it was determined that efficiency performance has a negative effect on logistic performance. Therefore, the second hypothesis of the study (“H2: The efficiency performance of the organization affects the logistics performance positively.”) was rejectedResult: Good tooling, good equipment, and good timing with bureaucratic permits are essential for good logistics performance. A well-established logistics coordination system ensures that the organization always performs logistics well. It has been observed that productivity performance and efficiency performance have effects on logistics performance. Finding trained personnel in civil society (the third sector), presents difficulties compared to the private and public sectors. This situation causes the personnel working in humanitarian aid organizations to either work temporarily or work on a project-based contract. Therefore, employees cannot provide stability in the organizations they work with. Finally, it is important to note that there are several factors necessary for good logistic performance. Even if all of these come together, sometimes additional problems occur and cause the logistics activity to be interrupted or even halted. Good teams, good equipment, and good timing are absolutely necessary for good logistics performance, together with bureaucratic permits. A well-established logistics coordination system ensures that the organization always exhibits good logistics performance.

As emphasized in this study, integration with suppliers is possible with the integration of processes. A process is a set of activities designed to produce a specific output for a particular customer or market (Davenport, 1993). Process integration, on the other hand, refers to the management of various activities that aim to combine relevant business processes within and across companies, and to eliminate duplicate or redundant processes in order to create a better functioning supply chain (Chen vd., 2009).&nbsp;Process integration with suppliers requires regular communication between cross-organizational work teams and partners. Firm integration ensures that inter-organizational business processes work in collaboration. Thus, it improves firm performance by creating synchronous processes (Frohlich ve Westbrook, 2001) throughout the supply chain and provides operational synergy, resulting in higher productivity.Mellat-Parast and Spillan (2014) stated that supply chain process integration is the most important indicator of the competitive position of the company, and determined its positive effect on firm competitiveness. Chen et al. (2009) dimensioned process integration with suppliers as internal process integration and external process integration, and found that external process integration positively affects firm performance. Langerak et al. (2007) also investigated the effect of product performance on firm performance, and found a positive effect. Narasimhan and Kim (2002) investigated the moderating effect of market uncertainty in the relationship between planning integration and profitability, and found that profitability increased in markets with low uncertainty. Liao and Tu (2008) found that the integration of production processes had more impact on production performance under conditions of high environmental uncertainty. For these reasons, the hypotheses of the research are determined as follows.H1: Process integration with the supplier has a positive effect on firm performance. H2: Process integration with the supplier has a positive effect on product performance. H3: The effect of process integration on firm performance is mediated by product performance. H4: Product performance has a positive effect on firm performance. H5: Market uncertainty has a moderating effect on the effect of Process Integration with Supplier on firm performance.The research was applied on SMEs operating in Istanbul and Gebze. The sample of the research consists of 156 industrial companies. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and reliability analyzes were performed to test the validity and reliability of the scales. As a result of EFA, factor loads were obtained at over 0.50 for all scales, and KMO values were obtained at over 0.70. Reliability analysis showed that the alpha coefficient value for all scales was determined by over 0.70. CFA showed, that the scales meets the goodness of fit criteria. As a result of the correlation analysis, it was found that there was a significant relationship between variables in the same direction at the level of 0.01 significance.&nbsp;As a result of structural equation analysis of the model, the process integration with suppliers positively affected product performance and firm performance; It has also been determined that product performance affects firm performance positively. The bootstrap method was used to test the mediation role of product performance on the impact of process integration with suppliers on firm performance. In order to test the mediating role of product performance, the significance of indirect effects was examined, and the bootstrap method was used for this. The highest likelihood method was used in 95% confidence interval consisting of 1000 samples and the Monte Carlo parametric bootstrap option was chosen. Indirect effects confidence interval lower value was determined as 0.204, and the confidence interval upper value was found as 0.377. It was found that the significance level of indirect effects is below 0.01, which means it is meaningful. The fact that the confidence interval lower and upper value ranges do not include zero, and being meaningful indicates that product performance has an intermediary role in the impact of strategic integration with suppliers on firm performance.Path analysis was conducted to analyze the moderating role of market uncertainty in the impact of process integration with suppliers on firm performance. For this purpose, an interaction variable is formed, which is the multiplication of the process integration and the market uncertainty variables. As a result of the moderating impact analysis, it was seen that process integration and market uncertainty had a positive effect on firm performance. However, the interaction variable did not significantly affect firm performance. This finding shows that market uncertainty has no moderating effect on the effect of process integration on firm performance. The reason for this is thought to be related to the fact that market uncertainty includes a more market-oriented perspective. According to this finding, it will be possible to say that the uncertainties in the market are not related to the procurement processes. As a result of the research, the H1, H2, H3 and H4 hypotheses were supported, while the H5 hypothesis could not be supported.

Dergi açık erişimlidir ve derginin tüm içeriği okura ya da okurun dahil olduğu kuruma ücretsiz olarak sunulur. Okurlar, ticari amaç haricinde, yayıncı ya da yazardan izin almadan dergi makalelerinin tam metnini okuyabilir, indirebilir, kopyalayabilir, arayabilir ve link sağlayabilir. Bu <a href="https://www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org/translations/turkish-translation" target="_blank">BOAI</a> açık erişim tanımıyla uyumludur. Derginin tüm giderleri İstanbul Üniversitesi tarafından karşılanmaktadır. Dergide makale yayını ve makale süreçlerinin yürütülmesi ücrete tabi değildir. Dergiye gönderilen ya da yayın için kabul edilen makaleler için işlemleme ücreti ya da gönderim ücreti alınmaz.

Yazarlar dergide yayınlanan çalışmalarının telif hakkına sahiptirler ve çalışmaları  Creative Commons Atıf-GayrıTicari 4.0 Uluslararası (<a href="https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/deed.tr" target="_blank">CC BY-NC 4.0</a>) olarak lisanslıdır. CC BY-NC 4.0 lisansı, eserin ticari kullanım dışında her boyut ve formatta paylaşılmasına, kopyalanmasına, çoğaltılmasına ve orijinal esere uygun şekilde atıfta bulunmak kaydıyla yeniden düzenleme, dönüştürme ve eserin üzerine inşa etme dâhil adapte edilmesine izin verir.

Editörler, yayınlanan makalede, bulguları, yorumları ve sonuçları etkilemeyen küçük hatalar tespit edilirse düzeltme yayınlamayı düşünebilirler. Editörler, bulguları ve sonuçları geçersiz kılan büyük hatalar / ihlaller söz konusu olduğunda, makaleyi geri çekmeyi düşünmelidir. Yazarlar tarafından araştırma veya yayını kötüye kullanmaya yönelik olasılık söz konusu ise; bulguların güvenilir olmadığına ve yazarların kurumlarının olayı soruşturmadığına dair kanıtlar var veya olası soruşturma haksız veya sonuçsuz görünüyor ise, editörler endişe ifadesi yayınlamayı düşünmelidir. Düzeltme, geri çekme veya endişe ifadesi ile ilgili olarak <a href="https://publicationethics.org/resources/flowcharts/complete-set-english" target="_blank">COPE</a> ve <a href="https://www.icmje.org/recommendations/" target="_blank">ICJME</a> yönergeleri dikkate alınır.

Dergide yayınlanan tüm yazıların korunmasını ve kalıcı olarak erişilebilir olmasını sağlamak için makaleler, ulusal bir arşiv sitesi olarak hizmet veren ve aynı zamanda LOCKSS'in içeriği toplamasına, korumasına ve sunmasına izin veren Dergipark'ta saklanmaktadır.Ek olarak, yazarların kendilerinin makalelerinin son PDF sürümünü Open Archives Initiative (<a href="https://www.openarchives.org/" target="_blank">https://www.openarchives.org/</a>) standartlarına uygun açık elektronik arşivlerde arşivlemeleri önerilir. Yazarlar, yayınladıkları arşiv versiyonundan, İ.Ü. Yayınevinin dergi web sitesinin URL'sine bağlantı sağlamalıdır.

Journal of Transportation and Logistics, yayın etiğinde en yüksek standartlara bağlıdır ve <a href="https://publicationethics.org/" target="_blank">Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)</a>, <a href="https://doaj.org/apply/transparency/#principles-of-transparency-and-best-practice-in-scholarly-publishing" target="_blank">Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)</a>, <a href="https://oaspa.org/" target="_blank">Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA)</a> ve <a href="https://www.wame.org/" target="_blank">World Association of Medical Editors (WAME)</a> tarafından yayınlanan etik yayıncılık ilkelerini benimser; Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing başlığı altında ifade edilen ilkeler için: <a href="https://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines-new/principles-transparency-and-best-practice-scholarly-publishing" target="_blank">https://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines-new/principles-transparency-and-best-practice-scholarly-publishing</a> Gönderilen tüm makaleler orijinal, yayınlanmamış ve başka bir dergide değerlendirme sürecinde olmamalıdır. Her bir makale editörlerden biri ve en az iki hakem tarafından çift kör değerlendirmeden geçirilir. İntihal, duplikasyon, sahte yazarlık/inkar edilen yazarlık, araştrma/veri fabrikasyonu, makale dilimleme, dilimleyerek yayın, telif hakları ihlali ve çıkar çatışmasının gizlenmesi, etik dışı davranışlar olarak kabul edilir.Kabul edilen etik standartlara uygun olmayan tüm makaleler yayından çıkarılır. Buna yayından sonra tespit edilen olası kuraldışı, uygunsuzluklar içeren makaleler de dahildir.

Etik

Journal of Transportation and Logistics araştırma etiğinde en yüksek standartları gözetir ve aşağıda tanımlanan uluslararası araştırma etiği ilkelerini benimser. Makalelerin etik kurallara uygunluğu yazarların sorumluluğundadır.<ul><li>Araştırmanın tasarlanması, tasarımın gözden geçirilmesi ve araştırmanın yürütülmesinde, bütünlük, kalite ve şeffaflık ilkeleri sağlanmalıdır.</li><li>Araştırma ekibi ve katılımcılar, araştırmanın amacı, yöntemleri ve öngörülen olası kullanımları; araştırmaya katılımın gerektirdikleri ve varsa riskleri hakkında tam olarak bilgilendirilmelidir.</li><li>Araştırma katılımcılarının sağladığı bilgilerin gizliliği ve yanıt verenlerin gizliliği sağlanmalıdır. Araştırma katılımcıların özerkliğini ve saygınlığını koruyacak şekilde tasarlanmalıdır.</li><li>Araştırma katılımcıları gönüllü olarak araştırmada yer almalı, herhangi bir zorlama altında olmamalıdırlar.</li><li>Katılımcıların zarar görmesinden kaçınılmalıdır. Araştırma, katılımcıları riske sokmayacak şekilde planlanmalıdır.</li><li>Araştırma bağımsızlığıyla ilgili açık ve net olunmalı; çıkar çatışması varsa belirtilmelidir.</li><li>Deneysel çalışmalarda, araştırmaya katılmaya karar veren katılımcıların yazılı bilgilendirilmiş onayı alınmalıdır. Çocukların ve vesayet altındakilerin veya tasdiklenmiş akıl hastalığı bulunanların yasal vasisinin onayı alınmalıdır.</li><li>Çalışma herhangi bir kurum ya da kuruluşta gerçekleştirilecekse bu kurum ya da kuruluştan çalışma yapılacağına dair onay alınmalıdır.</li><li>İnsan öğesi bulunan çalışmalarda, “yöntem” bölümünde katılımcılardan “bilgilendirilmiş onam” alındığının ve çalışmanın yapıldığı kurumdan etik kurul onayı alındığı belirtilmesi gerekir.</li></ul>

Makalelerin bilimsel ve etik kurallara uygunluğu yazarların sorumluluğundadır. Yazar makalenin orijinal olduğu, daha önce başka bir yerde yayınlanmadığı ve başka bir yerde, başka bir dilde yayınlanmak üzere değerlendirmede olmadığı konusunda teminat sağlamalıdır. Uygulamadaki telif kanunları ve anlaşmaları gözetilmelidir. Telife bağlı materyaller (örneğin tablolar, şekiller veya büyük alıntılar) gerekli izin ve teşekkürle kullanılmalıdır. Başka yazarların, katkıda bulunanların çalışmaları ya da yararlanılan kaynaklar uygun biçimde kullanılmalı ve referanslarda belirtilmelidir.Gönderilen makalede tüm yazarların akademik ve bilimsel olarak doğrudan katkısı olmalıdır, bu bağlamda “yazar” yayınlanan bir araştırmanın kavramsallaştırılmasına ve dizaynına, verilerin elde edilmesine, analizine ya da yorumlanmasına belirgin katkı yapan, yazının yazılması ya da bunun içerik açısından eleştirel biçimde gözden geçirilmesinde görev yapan birisi olarak görülür. Yazar olabilmenin diğer koşulları ise, makaledeki çalışmayı planlamak veya icra etmek ve / veya revize etmektir. Fon sağlanması, veri toplanması ya da araştırma grubunun genel süpervizyonu tek başına yazarlık hakkı kazandırmaz. Yazar olarak gösterilen tüm bireyler sayılan tüm ölçütleri karşılamalıdır ve yukarıdaki ölçütleri karşılayan her birey yazar olarak gösterilebilir. Yazarların isim sıralaması ortak verilen bir karar olmalıdır. Tüm yazarlar yazar sıralamasını <a href="https://cdn.istanbul.edu.tr/file/JTA6CLJ8T5/7910A9BCA3B142CEBCF7D2BDD2ABA0B0" target="_blank">Telif Hakkı Anlaşması Formunda</a> imzalı olarak belirtmek zorundadırlar.Yazarlık için yeterli ölçütleri karşılamayan ancak çalışmaya katkısı olan tüm bireyler “teşekkür / bilgiler” kısmında sıralanmalıdır. Bunlara örnek olarak ise sadece teknik destek sağlayan, yazıma yardımcı olan ya da sadece genel bir destek sağlayan, finansal ve materyal desteği sunan kişiler verilebilir.Bütün yazarlar, araştırmanın sonuçlarını ya da bilimsel değerlendirmeyi etkileyebilme potansiyeli olan finansal ilişkiler, çıkar çatışması ve çıkar rekabetini beyan etmelidirler. Bir yazar kendi yayınlanmış yazısında belirgin bir hata ya da yanlışlık tespit ederse, bu yanlışlıklara ilişkin düzeltme ya da geri çekme için editör ile hemen temasa geçme ve işbirliği yapma sorumluluğunu taşır.

Baş editör, makaleleri, yazarların etnik kökeninden, cinsiyetinden, uyruğundan, dini inancından ve siyasi felsefesinden bağımsız olarak değerlendirir. Yayına gönderilen makalelerin adil bir şekilde çift taraflı kör hakem değerlendirmesinden geçmelerini sağlar. Gönderilen makalelere ilişkin tüm bilginin, makale yayınlanana kadar gizli kalacağını garanti eder. Baş editör içerik ve yayının toplam kalitesinden sorumludur. Gereğinde hata sayfası yayınlamalı ya da düzeltme yapmalıdır.Baş editör; yazarlar, editörler ve hakemler arasında çıkar çatışmasına izin vermez. Hakem atama konusunda tam yetkiye sahiptir ve dergide yayınlanacak makalelerle ilgili nihai kararı vermekle yükümlüdür.Hakemlerin araştırmayla ilgili, yazarlarla ve/veya araştırmanın finansal destekçileriyle çıkar çatışmaları olmamalıdır. Değerlendirmelerinin sonucunda tarafsız bir yargıya varmalıdırlar. Gönderilmiş yazılara ilişkin tüm bilginin gizli tutulmasını sağlamalı ve yazar tarafında herhangi bir telif hakkı ihlali ve intihal fark ederlerse editöre raporlamalıdırlar.Hakem, makale konusu hakkında kendini vasıflı hissetmiyor ya da zamanında geri dönüş sağlaması mümkün görünmüyorsa, editöre bu durumu bildirmeli ve hakem sürecine kendisini dahil etmemesini istemelidir.Değerlendirme sürecinde editör hakemlere gözden geçirme için gönderilen makalelerin, yazarların özel mülkü olduğunu ve bunun imtiyazlı bir iletişim olduğunu açıkça belirtir. Hakemler ve yayın kurulu üyeleri başka kişilerle makaleleri tartışamazlar. Hakemlerin kimliğinin gizli kalmasına özen gösterilmelidir. Bazı durumlarda editörün kararıyla, ilgili hakemlerin makaleye ait yorumları aynı makaleyi yorumlayan diğer hakemlere gönderilerek hakemlerin bu süreçte aydınlatılması sağlanabilir.

Daha önce yayınlanmamış ya da yayınlanmak üzere başka bir dergide halen değerlendirmede olmayan ve her bir yazar tarafından onaylanan makaleler değerlendirilmek üzere kabul edilir. Gönderilen ve ön kontrolü geçen makaleler iThenticate yazılımı kullanılarak intihal için taranır. İntihal kontrolünden sonra, uygun olan makaleler baş editör tarafından orijinallik, metodoloji, işlenen konunun önemi ve dergi kapsamı ile uyumluluğu açısından değerlendirilir.Seçilen makaleler en az iki ulusal/uluslararası hakeme çift taraflı kör hakemlik ile değerlendirmeye gönderilir; yayın kararı, hakemlerin talepleri doğrultusunda yazarların gerçekleştirdiği düzenlemelerin ve hakem sürecinin sonrasında baş editör tarafından verilir.

DilDergide Türkçe ve İngilizce makaleler yayınlanır. Gönderilen makalelerde makale dilinde öz, İngilizce öz ve İngilizce geniş özet olmalıdır. Ancak makale İngilizce ise, İngilizce geniş özet istenmez.Yazıların Hazırlanması ve Yazım KurallarıAksi belirtilmedikçe gönderilen yazılarla ilgili tüm yazışmalar ilk yazarla yapılacaktır. Yazım Kuralları

Araştırma Makaleleri: Orijinal araştırma makaleleri derginin kapsamına uygun konularda önemli, özgün bilimsel sonuçlar sunan araştırmaları raporlayan yazılardır. Orijinal araştırma makaleleri, Öz, Anahtar Kelimeler, İngilizce Geniş Özet, Giriş, Yöntem, Bulgular, Tartışma, Sonuçlar, Kaynaklar bölümlerinden ve Tablo, Grafik ve Şekillerden oluşur.<ul><li>Öz: Makale dilinde başlık ve İngilizce başlık öz’lerin üzerinde yer almalıdır. Araştırma yazılarında Türkçe ve İngilizce özler 180-200 kelime arasında olmalı ve çalışmanın amacı, yöntemi, ana bulguları ve sonuçlarını ifade etmelidir. Ayrıca Türkçe, Almanca, Fransızca ya da İtalyanca makaleler için özlerden sonra 600-800 kelimelik İngilizce geniş özet de yer almalıdır.</li><li>Giriş: Giriş bölümünde konunun önemi, tarihçe ve bugüne kadar yapılmış çalışmalar, hipotez ve çalışmanın amacından söz edilmelidir. Hem ana hem de ikincil amaçlar açıkça belirtilmelidir. Sadece gerçekten ilişkili kaynaklar gösterilmeli ve çalışmaya ait veri ya da sonuçlardan söz edilmemelidir. Giriş bölümünün sonunda çalışmanın amacı, araştırma soruları veya hipotezler yazılmalıdır.</li><li>Yöntem: Yöntem bölümünde, veri kaynakları, çalışmaya katılanlar, ölçekler, görüşme/değerlendirmeler ve temel ölçümler, yapılan işlemler ve istatistiksel yöntemler yer almalıdır. Yöntem bölümü, sadece çalışmanın planı ya da protokolü yazılırken bilinen bilgileri içermelidir; çalışma sırasında elde edilen tüm bilgiler bulgular kısmında verilmelidir.</li><li>Bulgular: Ana bulgular istatistiksel verilerle desteklenmiş olarak eksiksiz verilmeli ve bu bulgular uygun tablo, grafik ve şekillerle görsel olarak da belirtilmelidir. Bulgular yazıda, tablolarda ve şekillerde mantıklı bir sırayla önce en önemli sonuçlar olacak şekilde verilmelidir. Tablo ve şekillerdeki tüm veriyi yazıda vermemeli, sadece önemli noktaları vurgulanmalıdır.</li><li>Tartışma: Tartışma bölümünde o çalışmadan elde edilen veriler, kurulan hipotez doğrultusunda hipotezi destekleyen ve desteklemeyen bulgular ve sonuçlar irdelenmeli ve bu bulgu ve sonuçlar literatürde bulunan benzeri çalışmalarla kıyaslanmalı, farklılıklar varsa açıklanmalıdır. Çalışmanın yeni ve önemli yanları ve bunlardan çıkan sonuçları vurgulanmalıdır. Giriş ya da sonuçlar kısmında verilen bilgi ve veriler tekrarlanmamalıdır.</li><li>Sonuçlar: Çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlar belirtilmelidir. Sonuçlar, çalışmanın amaçları ile bağlantılı olmalıdır, ancak veriler tarafından yeterince desteklenmeyen niteliksiz ifadeler ve sonuçlardan kaçınılmalıdır. Bu tür belgelerin baskı tekniğine uygun çözünürlükte (en az 300 piksel) ve sayfa alanını aşmayacak büyüklükte olmasına dikkat edilmelidir. Fotoğraf ve levhaların 10 sayfayı aşmamasına dikkat edilmeli ve metin içinde parantezle atıfta bulunulan resim, harita veya diğer ekler makalenin sonuna eklenmelidir.</li></ul>Derleme: Yazının konusunda birikimi olan ve bu birikimleri uluslararası literatüre yayın ve atıf sayısı olarak yansımış uzmanlar tarafından hazırlanmış yazılar değerlendirmeye alınır. Yazarları dergi tarafından da davet edilebilir. Derleme yazısı, başlık, öz, anahtar kelimeler, İngilizce geniş özet (Türkçe makaleler için), ana metin bölümleri ve kaynaklardan oluşmalıdır.
