Those Who Passed Through Matter and Reunited – Niyazi-i Misri’s Nazira [Parallel] to Yunus Emre’s Poem With the Repeated Voice “Yağma Olsun” [Let there be plunder]
Bekir BelenkuyuIn addition to Yunus Emre being a distinguished figure in Sufi literature, he has also been a source of inspiration for many great names after him. Yunus Emre and Niyazi al-Misri were seen to have come to a common point many times, despite progressing from different paths in terms of mystical understanding. The Turkish expressions that emerged from Yunus’ language were seen to be most unchanged in Niyazi al-Mısrî, even in the 17th century. Niyazi Misri arranged one poem he wrote by starting with the verse “Cânlar cânını buldum bu cânum yağmâ olsun” [I found the dearest soul, let this soul be plundered] which Yunus Emre had penned in a syllabic meter with the lines beginning with “Sevdim seni hep varım yağmâdır alan alsın” [I loved you, take all my being.] which he wrote with the Ottoman poetic meter. These two poems both express the principle of tawhid [unity]; how the way of tawhid passes through divine love; how those who are caught up in this love have abandoned being, idea, soul, body, mind, name, fame and self; and how no harm is had in others plundering those who have abandoned their souls and attained divine love. Niyazi Misri’s sayings paralleling Yunus Emre’s expressions are quite interesting in terms of the course of Turkish poetry and mysticism. After providing general information about the poems, this study will comparatively discuss the content and form features of their poems.
Varlıktan Geçip Birliğe Kavuşanlar - Yunus Emre’nin “Yağma Olsun” Redifli Şiirine Niyâzî-i Mısrî’nin Naziresi
Yunus’un dilinden dökülen Türkçe ifadelerin 17. yüzyılda bile neredeyse değişmeden Niyâzî-i Mısrî’de karşılık bulduğu görülür. Yunus Emre’nin hece vezniyle söylediği “Cânlar cânını buldum bu cânum yağmâ olsun” mısraıyla başlayan şiirini Niyâzî-i Mısrî aruz vezniyle kaleme aldığı “Sevdim seni hep varım yağmâdır alan alsın” şeklinde başlayan mısralarla tanzir etmiştir. Yunus Emre’nin ifadesiyle aynı görünen mısralarda Niyâzî-i Mısrî’nin yaptığı tasarruflar Türk şiir ve tasavvuf dilinin seyri bakımından oldukça ilgi çekicidir. Bu çalışmada şiirler hakkında genel bilgiler verildikten sonra şiirlerin muhteva ve şekil özellikleri mukayeseli bir şekilde ele alınacaktır.
