Comparison of Fintech Ecosystems In Some Emerging Economies: Technology, 5g Coverage, Digital Payment and Cryptocurrency

FinTech is a challenging concept that will likely shape the future of the financial industries. The rise of FinTech has directly transformed the business models of incumbent financial intermediaries such as conventional banks and other financial institutions. In addition, FinTech has attracted the interests of the general public, business professionals, regulators, scholars, and policymakers across the world. Online banking services, innovative payment systems, cryptocurrencies and blockchain initiatives, various funding platforms, and cloud technologies have been some examples of recent developments in the sector. This chapter aims to describe the characteristics of current financial technologies and compare these FinTech ecosystems among some emerging economies, such as Türkiye, China, and Brazil, using key themes of the industry.

Meydan okuyan bir kavram olarak FinTek, muhtemelen finans sektörünün geleceğini şekillendirecektir. FinTek’in yükselişi, geleneksel bankalar ve diğer finansal kurumlar gibi yerleşik finansal aracıların iş modellerini de doğrudan dönüştürmektedir. Ayrıca FinTek, tüm dünyada genel kamuoyunun, iş profesyonellerinin, düzenleyicilerin, akademisyenlerin ve politika yapıcıların ilgisini çekmektedir. Dijital bankacılık hizmetleri, yenilikçi ödeme sistemleri, kripto para birimleri, blok zinciri girişimleri, çeşitli fonlama platformları, bulut teknolojileri bu sektördeki son gelişmelerden bazı örneklerdir. Bu kitap bölümü, mevcut finansal teknolojilerin özelliklerini tanımlamayı ve Türkiye, Çin, Brezilya gibi bazı gelişmekte olan ekonomilerdeki FinTek ekosistemini karşılaştırmayı amaçlamaktadır.
