The Impact of Process Mining

Organizations are focused on the process life cycle monitoring and adjusting optimum performance. To achieve that, real-time process data such as event logs must be used. Process mining has an entirely different approach using the real-time events within the operational business processes. This technique discovers what employees are doing and how they are doing it. Process mining is a new era between data mining and a broader subset of the business intelligence with analytics. It displays valuable concepts of a process that can improve productivity, and exposes the aspect of opportunities that will influence the business. Process mining differs from traditional discovery while providing answers the “what, when and why is happening in the process?”. This study explains the primary studies of process mining and how it’s being applied in detail, emphasizing its impact on business life cycle. The purpose of this study is to highlight how process mining fills the gap between business intelligence and data mining. It also provides a brief explanation of the necessary tools in order to start a process mining implementation.

Süreç Madenciliği Etkisi

Kuruluşlar, süreç yaşam döngüsünün izlenmesine ve optimum performansın ayarlanmasına odaklanmıştır. Bunu başarmak için olay günlükleri gibi gerçek zamanlı işlem verilerinin kullanılması gerekir. Süreç madenciliği, operasyonel iş süreçleri içinde gerçek zamanlı olayları kullanan tamamen farklı bir yaklaşıma sahiptir. Bu teknik, çalışanların ne yaptığını ve nasıl yaptıklarını keşfeder. Süreç madenciliği, veri madenciliği ile analitik ile iş zekasının daha geniş bir alt kümesi arasında yeni bir dönemdir. Verimliliği artırabilecek bir sürecin değerli kavramlarını gösterir ve işi etkileyecek fırsatların yönünü ortaya çıkarır. Süreç madenciliği, “süreçte ne, ne zaman ve neden oluyor?” yanıtlarını verirken geleneksel keşiften farklıdır. Bu çalışma, süreç madenciliğinin temel çalışmalarını ve nasıl uygulandığını iş yaşam döngüsü üzerindeki etkisini vurgulayarak ayrıntılı olarak açıklamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, süreç madenciliğinin iş zekası ile veri madenciliği arasındaki boşluğu nasıl doldurduğunu aydınlatmaktır. Ayrıca bir süreç madenciliği uygulamasını başlatmak için gerekli araçların kısa bir açıklamasını da sağlar.
