Obesity has become one of the most pressing health issues in the United States. Many studies underscores the fact that obesity is linked with chronic diseases. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) estimations, by the year 2020, chronic diseases will cause for approximately three-quarters of all the deaths in the developing countries. In this regard, the increasing incidence of overweight and obesity could be an emerging public health problem in the low- and middle-income countries. In recent years there are individuals in our country who have been diagnosed with obesity and many diseases related to it. Based on all these; in this study, a decision support tool based on linear mathematical model was designed to predict the risk of being obese due to risk behaviors in males by using a questionnaire on the patients that are diagnosed and treated patients of two different nutrition specialty center in Istanbul. The success of the model is discussed, as compared to the set where the other randomly selected subjects are.
