Thoughts about Accounting Courses in Engineering Schools

In international literature, books with the titles “Accounting for Non-Accounting Students”, “Management Accounting” and “Accounting for Engineers” are essential course materials in engineering schools.  However in Turkeybecause of a lack of sufficient course materials, a consensus cannot be reached in the field of accounting education in engineering schools. In this study, course objectives and course contents of the financial and cost accounting courses at the engineering schools are explained.

Mühendislik Bölüm ve Programları için Muhasebe Dersi Hakkında Düşünceler

Uluslararası yazında “Muhasebe Mesleğine Girmeyeceklere Muhasebe (Accounting for Non-Accounting Students)”, “Yönetim Muhasebesi (Management Accounting)” ve “Mühendisler İçin Muhasebe” başlıklı kitaplar, mühendislik fakülte, bölüm ve işletme programlarının vazgeçilmez ders malzemesidir. Ancak ülkemizde bu konuda yeterli kaynak bulunmaması nedeniyle, mühendisler için muhasebe eğitimi konusunda fikirbirliği sağlanamamıştır. Bu çalışmada, mühendislik fakültelerinde verilecek finansal ve maliyet muhasebesi derslerinin amacı ve ders içerikleri açıklanmıştır.
