Ayper SomerMurat Sütçü

The most common diseases in the world are upper respiratory tract infections, resulting in substantial morbidity, mortality, and financial loss. Viruses are reported to be the most important pathogens involved in URT etiology. Several antiviral compounds have been developed for treatment, and prophylaxis. Cystus052, a an extract from a special variety of Cistus incanus plant that is rich in polymeric polyphenols, has been shown to exhibit antiviral activity.
