Chronic Tubulointerstitial Nephritis: Case Report

Chronic tubulointerstitial nephritis (CTIN) is one of the main causes for end-stage renal disease. Pathologic findings are characterized by tubular atrophy and interstitial fibrosis. Although CTIN has been recognized to have a number of causes, in current clinical practice, analgesic drugs are the most common cause in children. In this report we would like to emphasize that excessive and unnecessary usage of analgesic drugs in pediatrics may lead to renal failure and pediatricians should be aware of this fact.

Kronik Tübülointerstisyel Nefrit: Vaka Sunumu

Kronik tübülointerstisyel nefrit son dönem böbrek yetmezliğinin önemli nedenlerinden biridir. Patolojik bulgu olarak tübüler atrofi ve interstisyel fibrozis ile karakterizedir. Etiyolojide çok sayıda faktörler yer almakla beraber en sık suçlanan ajanlar analjezik ilaçlardır. Bu makalede kronik analjezik kullanımına bağlı gelişen kronik tübülointerstisyel nefrit vakası sunuldu. Analjezik ilaçların bilinçsizce tüketilmesi önemli bir sağlık sorunu olan böbrek yetmezliğine yol açabildiği vurgulandı.
