Screening for Hypertension in Well-Child Follow-up

Bahar Kural

Screenings are the health services for the detection of a health problem before any symptoms observed. They aim to identify and treat the problem before leading to permanent disturbances. Although hypertension is found less frequently among those aged under 18 years, its prevalance increasing. Evidence indicates that elevated blood pressure early in life has detrimental lifelong cardiovascular effects, raising questions about the potential benefits of hypertension screening and prevention starting from childhood. The aim of this article is to investigate the screening for hypertension in childhood in Turkey and in other countries.

Sağlam Çocuk İzleminde Hipertansiyon Taraması

Bahar Kural
