Turkish-German Studies (TGS)
2025 Issues
Deadline for Article Submission
February 15, 2025
Turkish-German Studies (TGS) is an international, double-blind peer-reviewed, open- access, scholarly journal published annually by Istanbul University Press, established in 2024 as the successor to the Turkish-German Studies Yearbook (2010-2021).
The journal aims to offer an international, interdisciplinary platform for the exchange of academic research on all aspects of Turkish-German studies. Although the terms "Turkish" and "German" were selected for the title, they are not intended to be exclusive or essentialist. We seek to publish scholarly articles in English, German, and Turkish from various fields, including literary and cultural studies, linguistics, media and communication studies, sociology, political science, history, and education.
Currently, we welcome general submissions for the 2025 edition. Contributions of 5000–8000 words may be written in German, English, or Turkish, and must be submitted by February 15, 2025 along with an abstract of 100-150 words in English as well as an abstract in the language the article is composed in if this language is not English. Articles for submission must be previously unpublished and should not be under evaluation or in the process of being published by another journal. The manuscripts should be formatted according to the 7th edition of the APA style guide. Articles will be subject to a double-blind peer review process. In addition to articles, we also accept proposals for reviews and reports.
