Kentsel-Olan ve Politik Eylem: Algılanan, Kavranan ve Yaşanan
Murat Ertan KardeşBu makale Fransız düşünür Henri Lefebvre’in kent çalışmalarını politik felsefe açısından mesele edinmektedir. Lefebvre, kent ve kentsel-olan (l’urbain) üzerine araştırmalarını felsefenin temel ilgileri arasında konumlandırmaktadır. Bu bağlamda felsefe tarihi boyunca geliştirilen mekan ve beden kavrayışlarının bir eleştirisini sunarak “yaşananın” “kavranana” ve “algılanana” indirgenemeyeceği tezini savunmaktadır. O halde kenti ve kentteki mekan üretimini düşünmek felsefi bir eylem olarak belirmektedir. Lefebvre’in niyeti kent düşüncesinin dinamiğini politik imkanlar açısından kavramaya girişmektir; bu sebeple “kentin felsefesi”, “kent fenomenolojisi” ve “analitik bir kentsel planlama” anlayışlarına karşı kentsel-olanın diyalektik bir bütünlük içerisinde anlaşılmasını amaçlamaktadır. Lefebvre’in esas sorusu niçin kenttekilerin, onun kullanıcılarının kent konusunda sessiz olduğudur. Eğer kent meselesi, kentleşme sorunları olarak sınırlanırsa kentin tüm üretim, tüketim alanlarının merkezinde olduğunu; dolayısıyla da toplumsal ve politik üretimin ikincil değil temel hattını oluşturduğunu arka plana atma riskini yaşarız. Kentsel toplum, kırsal ve kentsel zıtlığını aşarak, bütün deneyim alanlarının çoğulluğu içerisinde beliren çağdaş bir fenomendir. Lefebvre açısından Tüm yerküre, mekanların “kolonileştirilmesinin” çeşitli düzeylerine sahne olmaktadır. Bu sebeple yerel direniş odaklarını küre-kent süreçlerinin homojenleştirme etkisine karşı politik imkan olarak düşünmek gerekmektedir. Dışarıda bırakılma, kenara hapsetme ve sessizleşme… Politikayı kapatan anlayışa karşı, kırılma noktaları mekan için mekanda mücadele ile açılacaktır.
The Urban and the Political Praxsis: The Perceived, the Conceived and the Lived
Murat Ertan KardeşThis article discusses the urban studies of Henri Lefebvre within the scope of political philosophy. Lefebvre’s studies on the city and the urban (l’urbain) are basically grounded on philosophical concerns. To think of the city in Lefebvre’s perspective is to consider the problems relating praxis in the city. Why were the inhabitants of the city, its “users” silent about the city. The question of silence also lies at the heart of Lefebvre’s basic claim in the six works listed here: If the city issue is reduced to urbanization problems, the significance of the city as the center of all production (and reproduction) and consumption areas is underestimated. Therefore, we run the risk of throwing social and political production into the background, which is not of secondary but of primary importance in considering the phenomenon of urban society. In essence, this phenomenon is based on a contradictory and fragmented reality. At this point, criticizing the conception of space and body (corps) throughout the history of philosophy, Lefebvre argues that ‘what is experienced’ cannot be reduced to “what is comprehended” and “what is perceived.” Thus thinking on the city and the production of space in the city emerges as a philosophical action. Lefebvre intends to understand the dynamics of urban life in terms of political possibilities. For this reason, he aims to examine the urban in a dialectical integrity rather than leaning solely on traditional perspectives of ‘philosophy of the city’, ‘urban phenomenology’or ‘an analytical urban planning’.
