Tıpta Yapay Zeka Uygulamaları - Antik Çağdan Yapay Zekaya Teşhis Ve Tedavi Yöntemlerinin Gelişim Sürecinde Klinik Karar Destek Sistemlerinin Evrimine Genel Bakış

Günümüzde hayat kolaylaştıran bir çok uygulamanın temelinde merak dolu arayışlar, daha üstün bir ırk haline gelebilmek için duyulan heyecan, durmak bilmeksizin hissedilen mükemmellik arzusu yatmaktadır. Tüm hayallere dayalı arayışlar gibi yapay zeka olarak andığımız popüler ve neredeyse hayatımızın tümünü kaplayan insan yeteneklerini barındıran makineler de tarih boyunca pek çok öyküde, resimde, heykelde betimlenmiştir. Tarih, Homeros’un İlyada’sından Aristoteles’in Politika adlı kitabına, Leonardo Da Vinci’nin eserlerinden, Frederic Vidoni’nin Anas makinesine uzanan, adım adım hayalin gerçeğe dönüşmesini izlemiştir. Aristoteles’in de Politika’da ifade ettiği üzere esasında her insanın en büyük hayali elinde tuttuğu tüm aletlerin ya emriyle ya da ihtiyaç halinde kendi işini yapan bir zekaya sahip olmasıdır. Yapay zekanın günümüzdeki hale gelmesi hatta birkaç yıl sonra geleceği aktif durum aynı insanlığın ilk olarak 2,5 milyon yıl önce Doğu Afrika’da Australopithecus’dan evrimleşmesi gibi uzun bir yolculuktur. Yaşam koşullarının itmesiyle arkaik erkek ve kadınların anavatanlarını terk ederek farklı bölgelere göç etmesi ve göç edilen bölgede verilen hayatta kalma savaşının sonucu olarak yaşanan evrim, artık koşullların değişmesiyle HomoSapiens olarak anılan insanlığın yeni bir cinse evrimini mi işaret etmektedir? Bu konuda birçok tartışma yapılırken multidisipliner olarak birçok alan ayrık ya da bütün halinde bu sürecin analizine ve bu evrilmenin yaşanmasına hizmet etmektedir. Bu bölümde ilk olarak asıl zekanın yapay zekayı üreterek, gücün tanımını nasıl değiştirdiği kısaca özetlenecektir. Ardından teknolojik gelişim sürecinin tıbbi alanda yaptığı katkılar incelenecektir. Son olarak yapay zekanın tıbbi alanda sunduğu imkanlarla ilişkili güncel çalışmalara yer verilecektir.

Artificial Intelligence Applications in Medicine – an Overview of the Evolution Of Clinical Decision Support Systems in The Development Process of Diagnostic And Treatment Methods From Antiquity to Artificial Intelligence

Today, the pursuit of curiosity, the excitement to become a superior race, and the desire for perfection without stopping are the foundations of many applications that make our lives easier. Like all imaginative pursuits, machines that are popular and artificial human skills that cover almost all our lives have been depicted in many stories, paintings, and sculptures throughout history. History followed the step-by-step dream come true from Homer’s Iliad to Aristotle’s Politics, from Leonardo Da Vinci’s works to Frederic Vidoni’s Anas machine. As Aristotle expresses in Politics, the biggest dream of every human being is that all the tools that he holds in his hands either have an intelligence that performs his own work either by order or in case of need. The fact that artificial intelligence has become today, and that it will become active a few years later, a long journey like the first humanity evolved from Australopithecus 2.5 million years ago in East Africa. Does the evolution of the archaic men and women leaving their homeland and migrating to different regions with the push of living conditions and the war of survival in the migrated region indicate the evolution of humankind, called Homo Sapiens, with the change of conditions. Although there are many discussions on this matter, many multidisciplinary fields serve to analyze this process in separate or whole and to experience this evolution. This section, first, briefly summarizes how the real intelligence changes the definition of power by producing artificial intelligence. Then, it examines the contributions of the technological development process in the medical field. Finally, it discusses the current studies demonstrating the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence in the medical field.
