Beneficial Effects of Natural Mineral Waters on Intestinal Inflammation and The Mucosa-Associated Microbiota

Natural mineral waters are defined as microbiologically healthy waters. The waters coming out of the natural source are not sterile and contain various microorganisms. Physical and chemical properties are used to classify different mineral waters based on analysis of main parameters. The mineral composition enables the mineral waters to be classified as bicarbonate, sulfate, chloride, magnesium, fluoridated, calcium, ferrous and sodium mineral waters. These minerals have many beneficial effects on the human body. In addition to eliminating mineral deficiencies, it has a positive effect on the human body with different biological functions. No microbiological risk was reported in bottled mineral waters in the studies. According to the European Union Legislation, there are some microbiological features that must be carried in the natural water source and during its marketing. Although the number of bacteria is low in mineral water sources, the presence of a wide variety of microorganisms (Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter, Stenotrophomonas, Alcaligenes, Comamonas, Acidovorax, Paucimonas, Brevundimonas, Cytophaga, Flavobacterium, Flexibacter, Arthrobacter and Corynebacterium) have been reported. It is known that natural mineral waters have beneficial effects on the digestive system and have an anti-inflammatory effect. By increasing segmented filamentous bacteria, it contributes to the formation of a balanced microbiota associated with the intestinal mucosa and creates an antimicrobial effect.

Doğal Mineralli Suların Bağırsak İnflamasyonu ve Bağırsak Mukozası ile İli̇şkili̇ Mi̇krobi̇yota Üzeri̇ne Faydalı Etki̇leri̇

Doğal mineralli sular mikrobiyolojik açıdan sağlıklı sular olarak tanımlanmıştır. Doğal kaynaktan çıkan sular steril olmayıp çeşitli mikroorganizmaları barındırmaktadır. Farklı maden sularının ana parametrelerin analizine dayalı olarak sınıflandırılması için fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri kullanılmaktadır. Mineral bileşimi, maden suların; bikarbonatlı, sülfatlı, klorürlü, magnezyumlu, florürlü, kalsiyumlu, demirli ve sodyumlu maden suları olarak sınıflanırılmasını sağlamaktadır. Bu minerallerin insan vücudunda farklı birçok yararlı etkisi bulunmaktadır. Mineral eksikliklerinin gidermenin yanı sıra insan vücudunda farklı biyolojik işlevlerle olumlu etki oluşturmaktadır. Yapılan çalışmalarda şişelenmiş maden sularında mikrobiyolojik risk bildirilmemiştir. Doğal su kaynağında ve pazarlaması sırasında Avrupa Birliği Mevzuatına göre mikrobiyolojik olarak taşıması gereken bazı özellikler bulunmaktadır. Maden su kaynaklarında bakteri sayısı düşük olsa da çok çeşitli mikroorganizmaların (Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter, Stenotrophomonas, Alcaligenes, Comamonas, Acidovorax, Paucimonas, Brevundimonas, Cytophaga, Flavobacterium, Flexibacter, Arthrobacter ve Corynebacterium) varlığı bildirilmiştir. Doğal mineralli suların sindirim sistemi üzerinde yararlı etkileri olduğu ve anti-inflamatuvar etki gösterdiği bilinmektedir. Segmentli filamentöz bakterileri arttırarak bağırsak mukozasıyla ilişkili dengeli bir mikrobiyota oluşumuna katkı sağlamakta ve antimikrobiyal etki oluşturmaktadır. Sonuç olarak, minerallerin bağırsak mikrobiyotası üzerinde etkilerinin olabileceği çeşitli çalışmalarla gösterilmiş, ancak bu konuda daha fazla araştırmaya ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır.
