Catuscoti of Nagarjuna From Classic and Non-Classic Logic Perspective
Ayşe YılmazFor the primary purpose of eliminating and overcoming ignorance, Buddhist philosophers put forward a method of negation. It is Nagarcuna who developed and systematized this method.- and his work is mainly on the subject of negation. Its Two Truth Doctrines, catuskoti, the Eight-Tiered Method of Existence, and finally the Middle Way, bear traces of, or even build upon, this method. In this context, we will talk about the meaning of catuskoti in Indian philosophy, try to explain the uncertainty of these four alternatives, and put forward suggestions and interpretations for showing these alternatives. Then, from the perspective of classical and non-classical logic, the location of these alternatives will be discussed.
Klâsik ve Klâsik Olmayan Mantık Perspektifinden Nagarcuna’nın Çatuşkoti’si
Ayşe YılmazBudist filozoflar kendilerince bir değilleme yöntemi ortaya koyarlar. Bu yöntemin başlıca nedeni daha çok, cehaletin ortadan kaldırılması ve aşılmasıdır. Bu yöntemi geliştiren ve sistemli hâle getiren Nagarcuna’dır. Onun çalışmaları daha çok değilleme konusu üzerinedir. İki Gerçek Öğretisi, Çatuşkoti’si, Varoluşun Sekiz Katlı Değilleme Yöntemi ve en son olarak Orta Yol’u bu yöntemin izlerini taşır, hatta onun üzerine kuruludur. Bu bağlamda çalışmamızda, çatuşkoti’nin Hint felsefesinde ne tür anlamlar taşıdığından bahsedilecek, bu dört alternatifin belirsizliği anlatılmaya çalışılacak ve bu alternatiflerin gösterilmesi konusundaki öneriler ile yorumlar sıralanacak. Ardından klâsik ve klâsik olmayan mantık perspektifinden bakıldığında bu alternatiflerin yeri ve konumu göz önüne alınarak tartışılacaktır.
