ON THE 100TH YEAR OF THE COMING OF SOCIOLOGY TO TURKEY
Korkut TunaSociology is a science which emerged in France in the 19th century and came up to Turkey at the beginning of the 20th century. The Ottoman Empire which changed its direction to the West, especially to France, starting from the 18th century is also influenced by the sociological trends in France. This study deals with the story of sociology in Turkey and Turkish universities. In this respect, the establishment of sociology as a discipline in the universities of Ankara and Istanbul, its main approaches, significant representatives and publications, the basic issues and problems of Turkish sociology will be dealt with in a historical perspective.
SOSYOLOJİNİN TÜRKİYE’YE GELİŞİNİN 100. YILI ÜZERİNE
Korkut TunaSosyoloji 19. Yüzyılda Fransa’da doğmuş ve 20. Yüzyılın başında Türkiye’ye gelmiştir. 18. Yüzyıldan itibaren yüzünü Fransa’ya çeviren Osmanlı İmparatorluğu sosyolojik görüşler açısından da Fransa’dan etkilenmiştir. Bu çalışmada sosyolojinin Türkiye’deki ve Türk üniversitelerindeki serüveni açıklanacaktır. Bu bağlamda sosyolojinin İstanbul ve Ankara Üniversitelerinde kuruluşu, temel yaklaşımları, önemli temsilcileri ve yayınları, temel konuları ve problemleri üzerinde tarihi bir perspektifle durulacaktır.
