Suggestions to Young Logicians
Ahmet Ayhan ÇitilThe opinions and suggestions in this article are addressed to young academicians carrying out their studies in the field of philosophical logic in relation to philosophy. This target group contains especially academicians working in the field of traditional logic taught in theology faculties as well as academicians who have studied in philosophy departments and who are interested in contemporary logic and the philosophy of logic in Turkey. Logic is the term given for the discipline which aims to establish the place – in other words the playground – where almost all the issues and problems concerning humanity are discussed and expressed in a healthy as possible manner. Logic is the field in which the fundamental rules guide all parties in the debate in their search for the truth. Moreover, many of the topics covered are those touching the grounds of logic. In this respect, the extent to which logic is unbiased or neutral in relation to the different philosophical positions adopted in all these issues is open to discussion. Taking this background into consideration, the article aims to make some suggestions to logicians in philosophy and theology.

Ahmet Ayhan ÇitilBu yazıdaki görüş ve öneriler felsefe ile ilişkisi içerisinde, felsefi mantık olarak adlandırılabilecek alanda çalışmalarını yürüten genç akademisyenlere hitap etmektedir. Ülkemizde bu hedef kitle içerisine, özellikle ilahiyat fakültelerinde okutulan geleneksel mantık alanında çalışan akademisyenlerle felsefe bölümlerinde öğrenim görmüş ve çağdaş mantık ve mantık felsefesi konularıyla ilgilenen akademisyenler girmektedir. Mantık insanlığı ilgilendiren hemen tüm konuların ve sorunların ele alındığı, ifade edildiği ve tartışıldığı mekânın, başka bir deyişle oyun sahasının olabildiğince sağlıklı bir biçimde kurulmasını hedefleyen disiplinin adıdır. Mantık bu itibarla tartışmaya giren tüm taraflara, hakikati arama çabalarında yol gösterecek temel kuralların araştırıldığı alandır. Öte yandan ele alınan konuların pek çoğu bizatihi mantığın zeminine dokunan konulardır. Bu itibarla, tüm bu tartışılan konularda benimsenen farklı felsefi konumlara ilişkin olarak mantığın ne ölçüde yansız veya nötr olduğu da tartışmaya açık bulunmaktadır. Yazı bu arka planı dikkate alarak felsefe ve ilahiyat kökenli mantıkçılara bazı öneriler getirmeyi hedeflemektedir.
